The constant questioning of what to eat, what to avoid, whether you've eaten too much or whether you're making the 'right' choices.
Perhaps you've spent years trying to eat perfectly, only to find that food now occupies far more of your thoughts and energy than you'd like.
At Brave Bites®, we understand that our relationship with food is influenced by much more than nutrition alone.
Bringing together clinical nutrition, counselling and lived experience, Brave Bites® offers a compassionate, evidence-informed approach to exploring the thoughts, emotions and behaviours surrounding food.
You don't need an eating disorder diagnosis to deserve support with your relationship with food.
Protect • Process • Practice is the framework behind Brave Bites® — bringing together nutritional understanding, emotional exploration and practical strategies to support a different relationship with food.
Creating a foundation of safety, nourishment and understanding. Recognising food-related fears and patterns without judgement.
Exploring the thoughts, emotions and experiences that influence our relationship with food.
Developing practical skills that encourage flexibility, self-trust and a more nourishing relationship with eating.

Where Professional Expertise Meets Lived Experience
Brave Bites® is deeply personal to me.
As a clinical nutritionist, qualified counsellor and certified Intuitive Eating Counsellor, I bring together nutritional science, psychological understanding and specialist training in disordered eating.
But my understanding extends beyond qualifications.
Having personally navigated anorexia, bulimia and other patterns of disordered eating, I know how overwhelming food noise, fear, guilt and the pursuit of eating perfectly can become.
My experiences have shaped the way I practise today — with compassion, curiosity and an understanding that our relationship with food is about so much more than what we eat.
Because I've experienced both sides of the consultation room.
My journey with food hasn't always been an easy one. From childhood experiences and eating disorders to understanding, self-acceptance and eventually creating Brave Bites®, there's a story behind why I do this work.
I'd love to share it with you.

For many people, the struggle with food isn't about a lack of nutritional knowledge. It's about the thoughts, emotions and beliefs that have developed around eating.
You might know exactly what constitutes a nutritious meal, yet still experience guilt, anxiety or fear when your eating doesn't follow the rules you've created.
At Brave Bites®, we look beyond what is on your plate to explore what's happening beneath the surface.
By bringing together clinical nutrition, counselling and intuitive eating principles, we work towards greater understanding, flexibility and confidence around food.
Because knowing what to eat and feeling comfortable eating it are two very different things.

Behind Brave Bites® is a multidisciplinary foundation of clinical nutrition, counselling, psychology and specialist education in eating and body-related concerns.
My professional qualifications and training include:
These qualifications, together with my lived experience, inform an approach that considers not simply what we eat, but the psychological, emotional and behavioural influences on our relationship with food.
